BodyMind Autonomy teaches process over performance. You will be given tools and options for how to move. You get to decide what your practice looks like.
Universal Body Practices
-You will never be asked to lay belly and face down on the floor.
-You will not put weight on your knees.
-You'll get to choose how much weight you put on your wrists, anytime we do so in class.
-All movement done while standing are taught with chair and wall support.
*We take great care when turning inwards and focus on trauma informed grounding.
Universal Mind Practices
-Internal awareness and nervous system practices focus on grounding, not expansion.
-Survival Habits with costly trade offs are not pathologized. Tools are tnot taught to "fix" you. Instead you are given options that you choose how to use.
-We do not do quiet meditation, savasana and other common dissociating practices.
